What we offer

Established in 2017, the Acıbadem University Biodesign Center is a design centre that works with a clinical innovation approach to improve the efficiency of diagnosis, treatment and care processes. It targets outputs in R&D, product development, university–industry collaboration and education, and develops solutions by combining projects that originate from the needs and ideas of academia, the healthcare industry and manufacturing with engineering and design disciplines.

The centre serves academics, healthcare entrepreneurs, companies and students with end-to-end support: identifying research funding, building the expert network, regulatory consultancy, product–user relationship analysis, design and prototyping, intellectual property acquisition and commercialisation support. It consists of a Design Studio and a Prototyping Workshop.

  • Design Studio

    Product, interface and experience design; 2D and 3D drawing; project coordination; design consultancy; training and internship programmes.

  • Prototyping Workshop

    Model, prototype and MVP production; 3D FDM and SLA printing; laser cutting; mechanical and electronic tools; product photography.

  • Innovation support

    Funding identification, expert network, regulatory consultancy, product–user analysis, IP acquisition and commercialisation support.
