About this theme
Neuroscience is one of the university's longest-running research strengths. Prof. Filiz Onat's group has studied absence epilepsy for two decades with partners at Oxford, University College London, Lund, Monash and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Süyen Lab works on epilepsy and autism with behavioural studies and NMR-based biomarker discovery, and the Acıbadem Data Analytics Lab applies fNIRS brain imaging and machine learning to neuropsychiatry and neurorehabilitation.
The theme is served by the Electrophysiology, Behaviour and Pain, and Neurovascular laboratories at ACU-DEHAM and by the Neuroradiology Application and Research Center.
