Prof. Ata Akın co-founded the Acıbadem Data Analytics Laboratory (ADALAB) in 2019 with Dr. Buğrahan Bayram and Dr. Sinem Burcu Erdoğan. His recent work with the laboratory includes small-world properties of fNIRS-derived functional brain networks in schizophrenia and OCD patients (Scientific Reports, 2024) and a study of digital literacy among students in health-based education (BMC Medical Education, 2024).
