What we offer

The International Joint Center (IJC) was established within Acıbadem in 2024 by internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeons Prof. Javad Parvizi (USA), Prof. Samih Tarabichi (Dubai), Prof. Remzi Tözün (Türkiye) and Prof. İbrahim Tuncay (Türkiye), to realise the vision of Acıbadem's founder Mehmet Ali Aydınlar of excellence in healthcare and a patient-centred approach. Its fundamental principle is that the safety and needs of patients always come first.

In close collaboration with Acıbadem University the IJC conducts pioneering research in genomics, microbiomics, tissue regeneration, joint preservation, and artificial intelligence and machine learning. Innovations developed by Acıbadem scientists have contributed to numerous technologies that are directly improving patient care, including the international criteria for the diagnosis of periprosthetic joint infection and biomarker tests on joint fluid. The centre's PHAGE4DAIR project has received European funding.
