What we offer

The Acıbadem University Distance Education Center (UZEM) was established in 2014 (Senate decision of 11 August 2014; first regulation in the Official Gazette of 19 October 2014) to advance the quality of education by implementing the principles of distance education. Common first-year courses began to be delivered at a distance in 2015–2016, reaching about 1,500 students university-wide by 2020–2021, and since the 2020–2021 academic year the centre has led the adoption of the university's hybrid, multimodal learning model.

All course content is developed by the university's academic staff and delivered through the Learning Management System with pre-uploaded materials, asynchronous courses and synchronous and face-to-face sessions. The centre provides technical support for the distance-education system, develops solutions and consultancy for academic units, and plans and manages distance-education courses and programmes at associate, undergraduate and graduate level.
