What we work on
The ACURARE–ACUTBAT Undergraduate Research Group gives medical students a supervised route into rare-disease and breast-health research. It works with the Rare Diseases and Orphan Drugs Application and Research Center (ACURARE), founded in 2017 and directed by Prof. Yasemin Alanay, and with ACUTBAT, which organised the Breast Health and Surgery Symposium. Students have presented at the International Undiagnosed Diseases Network (UDNI) conference, taken part in the Undiagnosed Hackathon and the ACURARE internship programme, and contributed to the İSTisNA platform's training events for patients and professionals.
The centre itself, its biobank, UDP-İST undiagnosed-disease programme and international networks are described on the ACURARE page under Research Capacity.
