Assoc. Prof. Burcu Bulum Akbulut graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2002, completed her paediatrics residency at Hacettepe University in 2009 and her paediatric nephrology fellowship at Ankara University in 2013, and served her fellowship obligation at Ondokuz Mayıs University between 2014 and 2016. She became an associate professor in paediatrics (nephrology) in 2016.
Since 2016 she has been a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University School of Medicine and head of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology. She also works at the Acıbadem Atakent, Altunizade and Maslak hospitals and at the Acıbadem Atakent Hospital Organ Transplantation Center, seeing both inpatients and outpatients.
