Assoc. Prof. Özgül Gök Özatay is a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. In September 2026 she was appointed a Working Group member of the COST Action CA23132, Magnetic Particle Imaging for Next-Generation Theranostics and Medical Research (NexMPI).
Her international collaborations include work with the US National Science Foundation on cardiac investigation of hypoxic resistance, with the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences on drug-loaded nanoparticles and cardioplegia, and COST study groups on cancer nanomedicine, 3D cell guidance and the delivery of antisense RNA therapeutics.
