Prof. Umut Bulut is a faculty member in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and part of the Acıbadem University Functional Chemistry Research Group (ACU-FUNCHEM), whose research runs from organic and inorganic synthesis, polymeric materials and nanotechnological systems to biosensors and spectroscopic and chromatographic analysis.
He is a researcher on the TÜBİTAK 2515 COST project led by Prof. Saniye Söylemez (Necmettin Erbakan University) to develop a point-of-care, IoT-integrated multiplex nanosensor for the early diagnosis of acute kidney injury after coronary artery bypass, within the PerMediK Action. Recent work includes a nanoparticle-modified electrochemical sensor for the simultaneous detection of galantamine, dopamine and uric acid (Electrochimica Acta, 2026).
